The Red Ball is one week away...and I still haven't picked out a dress. I could wear the dress I wore last year from White House Black Market (love that place!) but, when I was discussing this with The Hubs, he thought it would be a better idea to get a new dress.
Wellllll, since you think I should get a new dress....twist my arm.
I shared a picture preview on The Housewife Diaries Facebook page from the Red Ball preview party two weeks ago and I'll share a few more here. I cannot wait to get my fingers on all that glorious food! It's fun to get glammed up, too, don't you think? I spend so much time in my sweats at home, when I actually do wear a lot of makeup, I have this small revelation looking in the mirror like, hey, I can still look good! Freakin amazing! Funny how easily I get used to looking at myself sans all makeup -- my 20-something self would be horrified if she heard me say that.
Did you know that March is Red Cross month? Here in downtown Philly, Red Cross has proudly hung their flags all over the city. It's a beautiful sight! The Hubs took this one for me...
Red Cross also gave me a very nice mention in their top 25 accomplishments of 2011 this week. Click through to Number 15 to see the mention. Bragging rights, right? See, they really do like me -- I'm not just pretending!
And, to send you off, here are a few pictures from the Red Ball preview party (where I checked in as "press!"). Stay tuned to The Housewife Diaries for all the details, the delights and the delish!
My aunt from another life, Marilyn Suckonick-Zeff, owner of Professional Tarot Presentations, working her magic. She gave me a reading after this picture was taken that gave us both goosebumps. I'm looking forward to another reading at the Red Ball!
Can I have one of each, please? I've never seen so many cupcake flavors in all my life. Yummo. This table was like heaven on earth. Screw the angels, harps and clouds. I'm good with cupcakes. Want a little slice of your own heaven? Visit Cupcakes Gourmet!
Lemon scallops and crap claws - lord have mercy. I think I went back four times for more of this. Seriously.
That's it for now! Stay tuned!
