Deep Thoughts - Bloggy Shuffle

I've been working on my new pages at the top of my you see them? Not much to them yet, but I had started an "About Me" tab only to pull it.

Why, you ask?

Because I don't know what to write.

I think that's the first time I've ever said that.

Yes, I'm Tasha. I'm 32, I like food and....ehhhh, err, ummm....

I consider myself a pretty interesting person - I have lots to talk about, lots of life lived (just ask my mother, my best girlfriend and my husband), but I struggle to get it out.

A blog is incredibly's about about "me! me! me!", right? But when it comes down to writing something about myself... I draw a blank.

There's plenty to share, but the question is does everyone else care to read it? Probably not. And that's ok. My feelings aren't hurt.

So why is it that, when we think no one is listening, we can have a perfectly reasonable conversation about ourselves, but when we're put on the spot so to speak, we freeze up?

For now, I think I'll save the "About Me" for the draft box.

untrue that nobody wants to know lol. we release little bits about ourselves in blogs evrytime we write, but then new people see you and dont ahve all that background info. if you some guy in scandavia or something, did a special on your blog...people want to know!lol

"A blog is incredibly's about about "me! me! me!", "

omgosh i fel that way, thats why i started a second one, dirty duck is about interesting or fun things(wellll i use interesting loosely) and the other is like a day to day diary

mine is simple...not to much stroking of my own feathers...I think.

Yeah, I hear ya... That would be why mine is not "about me" it's an "about my family". I do have a small section on me and to tell you the truth, that took me forever to write. I really had to look at myself and my life. Do what you want. You don't need to have an "about me" section. Anyone who reads your blog gets to know you through that, anyway.

I think this post is the perfect about me page!

It shows your character and your blog purpose!

From someone who has a blog that's REALLY incredibly narcissistic, I say yes, people really are interested in all the details of your life. Like Closer to Lucy says, it shows your character and blog purpose.

This is so true! I hate writing anything resembling an "About Me" page, but I love to write, well, about myself. Ha! Good luck if you decide to attempt that ever daunting page. If you choose not to, that's perfectly fine too. All one has to do is read a few of your posts and your personality shines through.

You're very intriguing to read. You don't need a page telling people that. :)
