Music I'm Emarrassed To Love...

You know when you hear a song and instantly love it, but then you start listening to the lyrics and think "shit, this song is soooo stupid!"

Ha, well I have a new song I'm embarrassed to love! It's called Tick Tock by some chick named Kesha. I like her name because it's a black girl's name....and she's white. Kinda like me and my name. Word to your mother.

Anyway, people have said she looks like a "coked-out cross between Taylor Swift and Ashley Tisdale", which I think is freakin hilarious. And they're right. We who dont have lives have to get our rocks off somehow...dont playa hate, yo.

This song kind of reminds me of Lady Gaga's "Just Dance". It's about getting drunk and acting stupid. (insert eye roll here) Although the lyrics on both songs are totally stupid and immature (unless you're 21), there's no denying the beat - and meloves any song that I can dance to.

Maybe I like this song because it reminds me of the days when I didn't have any kids.

My kids have been out of school (and with me) 24/7 for over a month. I don't have any friends here to go out with, and I stay home by myself, with both kids, all day every day. It's like the days when I had an infant....minus the breastfeeding.

Anyway. I'm gonna go brush my teeth with a bottle of Jack now...

Listen to the song. Then you'll get it.

Peace Out.

I cant get the song to play on my browser but i can totally understand what you mean by that... that's why i rather dont pay attention to lyrics and just enjoy the music. Also that's why too my taste in music is a bit.. out of the ordinary.

Come to NYC and hang out, girlfriend. : )

"It's about getting drunk and acting stupid." Nope. I've never done that ever in my life (and you can't prove it!)

Lurker here... from your home state :) HAD to comment as I ROCK it out in the car when this song comes on. Yes, this 35 year old loves this song.... particularly "I'm talking about - everybody getting crunk, crunk...boys trying to touch my junk, junk". I just have to make sure my teen isn't in the car or she'll deck me for sure!

Becky! I haven't seen you in AGES! You crack me up and I agree. I'll rock that shit out with the windows down! :P And what the hell is krunk, anyway? I'm gonna start using that word to my husband- 'dont get all up in my krunk!' He'll look at me like I'm crazy....heehee.

HA! YES! I am so embarrassed to love this song, too. I secretly jam out to it on the elliptical...very hard for me not to flail my arms around like I'm dancing...just imagine what that would look like!

I play it at home for my boys, and now my little 5-yr-old has been cracking up about brushing his teeth with a bottle of jack. He has no idea what this means, but the notion of a Jack in a bottle cracks him up...

I actually wasn't sure if Keisha was black or white until I saw your video. I also liked that aspect, since my husband tells me I was born the wrong race. I am apparently very connected with my inner soul-sister!

I love this song and Kesha. The British press reported that she was in the first season of Paris Hilton's Simple Life and she became friends with Paris until she puked in her closet (which I find kinda hilarious).

Anyway, this song is awesome. And isn't krunk an Atlanta thing???

Happy New Year!!!

I totally turn this song up in the car (sans kiddo). Then she tells me she heard it at a friend's house and wants it on her iPod. I told her it wasn't appropriate for children b/c it was about "drinking" and she said 'what in the world is wrong with drinking? I drink all the time!'
