So help me sweet, girlie-girl daughter has started picking her nose.....and EATING her boogers.

How do I stop this?

My son is a nose picker, too. But he never had the urge to eat them. Okay, I can deal with that.

I scold Ava when she does it, but she seems to enjoy it. Are you throwing up yet? I'm thinking I need to send her to a booger-eating shrink so she cant work out her booger-eating problems.

What do you think?

Hey Tasha, Good luck to you! Thank GOD Aiden hasn't started doing the nose picking ... I can only pray he avoids it all together. Maybe cause I am an obsessive Nose Cleaner. I hate dirty noses and I am always checking his.. (gross, but he doesn't have a dirty nose) ...

I'm pretty sure I used to eat my buggers and I turned out okay...right? :P Although thinking about it now makes me throw up a little. LOL. I guess tastes change...Gack!

LOL at booger therapy. I'd say keep on her, but don't worry too much unless she's still doing it on her first date. ;) We tell my son that it's gross and he needs to handle private issues like that in that bathroom with a tissue. Yes, kids are gross.

We tell our kids that they will get a booger rock in their tummy and the doctor will have to take it out. I did hear on "Dateline" or something that kids who eat their "boogies" have healthier immune systems. Go figure??

OK I can handle a lot of things, poop, throw up, but NOT boogers! They make me sooo sick.

I don't know why you'd be unhappy with this:
1. she isn't a fussy eater - that's good!
2. i'm sure boogers are a good source of protein
3. when she constantly asks for food, you don't even have to get up
4. she's learning to practice recycling already (which you still don't do yourself!!)
