Bad Mom Moment #127

We all have bad mom moments, right? Yea, well I have them, too........ a lot of them. So this Bad Mom Moment is coming to you courtesy of my 2-year old, Ava.

We're at the park. I let Ava take her shoes off in the sandbox. I start looking away, probably because I was checking out the other stay-at-home mothers that were sitting by me. I turn back and see my husband running towards Ava and she is walking on her tiptoes making a horrible face. I realize the freakin sidewalk is burning her little footsies. Hubby picks her up. She's crying. I feel like shit. I should have known better. This is Vegas. It's hot. Duh me.

Aw poor Ava...don't fret mom, it happens to all of us! The burns will heal.

I WILL make you something...so you want it to say Bad Mommy Moment?

The question is.... did your daughter get 2nd degree burns on the bottom of her little feet.......

LIKE MY DAUGHTER DID!?

Why am I laughing? Let's just lump that in with my "If it's over a decade ago does it count?" blog. Wait, let me do the math. She was 2, she is almost 14. Yup, I'm golden!

I am so with you...atleast you didn't let your kid jump off the coffee table and break his leg! :( Talk about feeling like the worst mom in the world...while he was in his cast, I moved my seat back in the car forgetting that he was behind me and squished his foot..OMG..I felt so bad!

BTW -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU TOMORROW! Hope you have a great day!

Aww... poor Ava! And yes, we've all had bad Mommy days! Like when Olivia, 2 days old, fell off my chest, face first, onto the floor, from the couch. Two years later & I STILL remember it! lol

I think this is something that all Moms do! I hope her little feet are okay though.

I know exactly how you feel....dont forget, I hit my kid in the face with a metal shovel splitting his nose! Talk about feeling like the size of an ant. I think they get over it before we do!!! I hope her little feet are okay:) Happy Birthday!

Aww, it happens to all of us. You are an amazing mom! My most recent "bad mom moment" was when I left my disposable razor by the bathtub only to discover my 2 yr. old son trying to lick it! No blood-so he was fine. We've made trips to the urgent care for him attempting to eat coins (they have metal detectors for this) and stuffing apples up his nose (that's what catheters are for), too.
